I know you don't believe me, but check out the demo and make your own mind up about it. A large number of our backers (including one who paid to be a playable character) are transgendered and although the game has a light hearted tone, it does treat real life transgendered issues with respect. What the hell is going on with the person in the middle, that's some Liefeld shit right there.Ĭheck out the free demo, it's not as patronising or insulting as you think. That and the whole project comes across as just obvious clichéd fetish bait - we all saw the furry angle coming late in the campaign because it was just ticking all the boxes as to 'what can we sexualise and get people to pay more money for'.Īlso these do not look like actual people. You just can't make a game like this on today's internet without having to realise that 'being anime' isn't enough of an excuse to be childish and exploitative about these issues. It trivialises a lot of complicated issues that people undergo when changing or adapting their gender/sexuality into 'lol now that I have MEGA MILK TITS i should go be a furry lol'. I think that's where the hate is coming from. I haven't played your game, but from what I remember reading of the Kickstarter(? Indiegogo?) campaign it really came across as quite patronising or outright insulting to a lot of transgender people.
